Complementary Integrity or What?

All this bank bailout and bonus stuff going on makes me thankful to be working at teaching people ways to help others rather than screw them. I still believe most people come into Shiatsu, Taoist practice and NLP with the thought of what they can put into it rather than what they can get out of it. When I was much, much younger I was inspired by a new young President saying "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask rather what you can do for your country." And last year Marta and I stood on the balcony of Gandhi's house in Mumbai and felt the Great Soul, and read his words, "A life not spent in service is a life wasted." What happened to both those men did not destroy my trust in the basic goodness of humanity. But beware of weasels!

Taoist Training
Foundations Step 1 - Just a few places left on this two-day introduction to Taoist Practice on Saturday and Sunday 28th February and 1st March, a real opportunity to absorb the cheery optimism and zest for life that characterise the Taoist practitioner. Learning the Microcosmic Orbit balances mind, body and spirit, and the Inner Smile and Healing Sounds help cope with/demolish the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. The course is equal fun and positive value for both women and men, young and old, come out of it refreshed, relaxed, revitalised and in tune with life. What a great start! Learn more with a click

Jade Circle - Taoist Meditation for Women 10th Anniversary
Surprisingly, the Jade Circle was started by a man. In 1999, after seven years teaching Mantak Chia's Taoist practices to mostly male students, Kris Deva North invited the Yin adepts of the London Tao Centre to form the Jade Circle, symbolising the "mysterious feminine."
Over the years the Circle has been nurtured by outstanding facilitators - and been to some interesting places. In 2003 Cathy Rowan and Jaclyn Snyders facilitated a 'celebrity circle' on an island in the Andaman Sea as part of Channel 4's TV series 'Extreme Celebrity Detox'. And once even Kris ran a circle, in Dublin for women on Foundations Step 1, the only time a non-woman has entered the circle. Anamarta has taken the Travelling Circle across the land, from Devon to Newcastle and places between, and this year accepted invitations to circle the world: Portugal, India and Florida, and co-facilitating the London Circle with Liz Peart who has taken over from Uta.
One of the original 1999 Circle and first facilitators, Bernadette Carelse, will be guest of honour at our anniversary celebration to be hosted by Anamarta and Liz on March 13th.
All women are welcome to come on by the London Tao Centre on Friday 13th March 6.30 to 8pm, enter the circle and participate in our celebration of the mysterious feminine. No need to book.

The regular monthly Jade Circle meets the week before on Wednesday 4th March as usual, with Liz and Anamarta. Click here to learn more
